Wikipedia - OVF Alliance
OVF Alliance is a soccer club from Albany, Oregon competing in the Northwest Division of USL League Two. They will begin play in the 2021 USL League Two season.
The club was formed as a merger of TFA Willamette and Corvallis SC. TFA Willamette was originally set to join the league for the 2020 season, however, the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
OVF Alliance er et amerikansk fotballag som konkurrerer i National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Laget ble grunnlagt i 2020 og har base i Overland Park, Kansas. OVF Alliance eies av Overland Park Sports Complex, som også driver et fotballakademi og andre idrettsfasiliteter.
Lagets navn, "OVF", står for "Overland Park Futbol". Ordet "Alliance" ble lagt til for å gjenspeile lagets mål om å være en samlende styrke i Overland Park-samfunnet.
OVF Alliance spiller sine hjemmekamper på Overland Park Soccer Complex, et toppmoderne anlegg med et stadion med 1500 seter. Lagets hovedtrener er Jimmy Nielsen, en tidligere dansk landslagskeeper.
I sin første sesong i NISA endte OVF Alliance på 6. plass i ligatabellen. Laget nådde også kvartfinalen i NISA Independent Cup.
OVF Alliance er forpliktet til å utvikle unge spillere og har et sterkt ungdomsprogram. Laget samarbeider også med lokale skoler og bedrifter for å fremme sporten i Overland Park-området.
