REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier women's professional handball league for Norwegian handball clubs. It is administered by the Norwegian Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Norwegian champions. It was established in 1968, and it is currently contested by fourteen teams. Larvik HK is the championship's most successful team with nineteen titles, followed by IL Vestar with nine and Vipers Kristiansand with six.

Currently the winner of the championship play-offs is granted a spot in the EHF Champions League's group stage.

Starting 2023/2024-season, the league will consist of 14 teams.

Norge - Eliteserien - Kvinner er den øverste divisjonen for kvinnehåndball i Norge. Serien består av ti lag, som spiller en dobbel serie mot hverandre. De to beste lagene i serien kvalifiserer seg til Champions League, mens de to nederste lagene rykker ned til 1. divisjon.

Eliteserien for kvinner har blitt arrangert siden 1970, og den mestvinnende klubben er Larvik HK, som har vunnet serien 14 ganger. De regjerende mesterne er Vipers Kristiansand, som vant serien i 2021/22-sesongen.
